The whole team has been really busy with development and final testing of the next release for Mobile Analytics.
It represents an incredible step forward, not just for our product, but for web analytics in general as it provides the ability to segment and understand mobile web consumers in ways that are not possible with current solutions.
The key focus of the next release is to introduce traffic filtering mechanisms that allow completely separate and independent report sets to created for specific traffic types.
For example, wouldn't it be great to:
- Analyse click path traffic coming from a specific referrer?
- Understand the difference between male and female browsing habits?
- Track what happens after browsers enter a specific internal search query?
The next release will also content:
- A significant update to our Mobile Operator database which should allow us to identify almost 200 operators in 90 countries
- The ability to aggregate independently across multiple domains or even aggregate the filtered reports described above
- A new and improved online documentation system
